What’s the most effective way of taking CBD to relieve period pain?
Most people who use CBD for their period pain often ask this question. According to Dr. Harry Baxter, the vagina is the best way of administering CBD to relieve period pain. Baxter knows a thing or two about CBD and period pains. He’s the head of research for Daye, a startup that’s making CBD infused tampons. The female-owned firm sells its standard naked tampons alongside the CBD infused ones.
Dr. Baxter says that substances that are administered through the vaginal mucosa are then supplied by the blood to the vagina, ovaries, and uterus, instead of getting into the body’s bloodstream.
CBD-infused tampons have 150mg of CBD, aimed at delivering muscle-relaxing relief. The founder of the firm Valentina Milanova says that she has toyed with the idea for a long time before launching the product. “The firm was born when I had my first period. I was nine years old,” she told reporters. She adds that when she first had her periods, she thought she had a rare and shameful disease because no one had prepared her for the reality of menstrual cycles.
Once she launched her product, she says there has been an impact on the market. “Women report that the tampons work. After 15 minutes of using the tampons, they have reported having their period pains subsiding,” she added, saying that its overdue with this type of invention.
Even after proving that the CBD infused tampons work, she is not interested in forcing them on anyone. Her aim is to raise the standards as far as period care goes. “Our goal is to improve the tampon as it has been overlooked for a long time.”
Daye is piecing together a tampon subscription program on their website that will be available this fall. In the meantime, the products are not available for sale in Canada.
